The trip to Sagittarius A* was an amazing achievement, one that led me to spend quite a lot less time in space for a bit. I guess I just couldn’t look at another star!
After a small break, I did begin to get back to work, and knowing that I wanted to get somewhere with the Empire, I fought for them in various conflicts.
I soon ended up with my Imperial Summons to Achenar, allowing me to search the Imperial records for mention of my family. As I’ve said before, it is confusing to me that someone can be so unaware of their roots… I KNEW my family came from the old Alliance world of Leesti and Lave, but I was wrong.
Searching through the records, I found mention of him being a double agent… How can I accept this? Do I pledge allegiance to the Empire?
I decided to gain rank, seeing how high ranked I could become and to try to get access to Facece (home of the Imperial Navy)…
My first space game addiction was with David Braben's 'Frontier - Elite II' released in 1993 on the Commodore Amiga. This game actually gave me so much of what I wanted in a game that I continued to play it until the 'Elite - Dangerous' release in 2014.
I also played through the 'Wing Commander' series from Chris Roberts, enjoying them immensely. This led directly to my support of his 2012 crowdfunding campaign for the Star Citizen and Squadron 42 games that are still in development.
I use space games to try to escape from the pressures of real life. I occasionally upload or stream gameplay to YouTube and Twitch.
